Meet Lucas, he is a handsome little man that I had the pleasure of photographing in early August. He is so sweet and so very loved by many. Lucas is the youngest of four and lives less than a mile from all of his grandparents and his Aunt and Uncle and their two kiddos. There is lots of love to go around!

In early August I had the opportunity to take Emily's Senior pictures. The crazy thing is that I remember when Emily was born, and watched her grow up into an amazing and beautiful young lady. I used to babysit Emily and recently she has babysit my son. I love seeing life come full circle even in the little things like that. Thanks Emily for allowing me to do your senior pictures.

Fourth of July weekend it was also "grandma's" Birthday weekend. I spent some time with a great family. The age range was 90 years to 5 months, this made for some fun shots. I loved watching this sweet Great Grandmother with her Great-grandson. You could really feel the love!

Valerie and Will~ Engagement Photo Session

What an awesome couple! Valerie and I grew up in the same neighborhood and have been friends since we were in the 4th grade. This Photo session with her and Will was just as much fun as it was hanging out back in the day when we were kids. We laughed so much; sometimes it was hard for them to make serious expressions for the different shots. I have to give major props to Will! He is like most guys that aren't overly excited about having their picture taken, especially when it is going to take almost all evening. He did an amazing job and never complained, not even when the misquitoes were biting us like crazy!

I am so happy for you both, you make a sweet couple and your happiness really shows especially in these pictures. I'm looking forward to your big day; I know it'll be just as much fun!

Hill Family at the beach~ Southern Maryland Photographer

What a great evening for the beach. Spening it with a fun and sweet family made it even better. Jeanne and I have been friends since high school and she was one of the nurses when I had both of my kids. She is such a kind person, and I am so happy that she asked me to do her family pictures. The Hill family was a lot of fun, the girls were very happy to be at the beach and playing waves and Sand, this made for a lot of fun pictures.

Thank you Hill Family for such a nice evening at the beach. I hope you like the pictures as much as I do.

Watching this sweet family go through the process of adoption has really been quite amazing. They have waited a long time for this and now it's as if they couldn't ask for anything more. They have the most beautiful healthy baby boy. I took a bunch of pictures during my time with them today, I was worried that once I got there I would only want to hold this sweet bundle of joy. I did get in a couple of hugs, I just couldn't resist he's such a cuddle bug!

Never too Old to Party~ Prom 2011

Kristee and her Date Mike were chaperone's for a local Prom which was held on a cruise boat that left out of the National Harbor. So they got all dolled up, well at least Kristee did Mike has to wear a suit everyday to work. Before we let them head up the road for the big party we had to snap a few pictures of them.

Jourdan Senior Pictures

I swear it was the hotest day of the year so far out there! But despite it was beautiful out on the Patuxent River, which made an excellent background for Jourdan's senior pictures. She was a great sport about walking in the water even though the water temps are still quite chilly. Nature was helping us out with such great lighting that before either of us knew it two hours had gone by and I had taken over 200 pictures. Don't worry I won't share all of them with you, just a few of my favorites.

I am really looking forward to more senior sessions coming up this summer, they are always so much fun!

Boys Will Be Boys

It was such a beautiful day and I am so grateful that I was able to spend most of it outside enjoying the weather. I met Carrie and her three boys at Sotterley for what turned out to be a very fun session. I went into thinking it was going to take a lot of work trying to get them interested in the pictures. But much to my surprise they were really into it and really did a great job with nearly no complaints!

Thanks for letting me spend such a great day with you guys, I look forward to more sessions with you in the future!

Sweet Baby J ~ Southern Maryland Infant photographer

This little guy has got to be the tiniest baby I have held in a long time I guess that when you have a 10 lb baby anything less than that seems tiny. Baby "J" is actually over 2 pounds more then he was when he came home from the hospital about a week ago. Tiny he may be but he sure is strong, and a fighter! He gave his family a bit of a scare when he made his way into the world via emergency C-section. He sure is a sweetie and such a cutie pie! Aand although he wasn't thrilled about having his picture taken he did a great job!

Lil Bee Photography is offering a free Photo Session to the Survivor who wins the "Photos for a Cause" contest.

Here’s the deal email a photo and short bio to Lilbeephotos@gmail.com by April 20th. I’ll then post the pictures and stories on our FB page. Voting will start on April 25th and run through May 2nd (voting will end at midnight). Bentley ~ St. Mary's County Pet Photographer

I enjoyed spending some time outside with my friend's sweet Jack Russell Bentley over the weekend. He is such a cutie and he seems to know how to work the camera.

I love the color of this one, and the "smile" on Bentley's face.

Vintage or bright colors I can't decide which I prefer. I do love the reflections in the balloons below.

In the next couple of photos Bentley looks so serious, but I gotta tell you he doesn't fool me. Bentley is a super playful and fun pup!

Where's the Love

It seems that when ever I make a big deal out of taking pictures of my kids they act crazy, almost as if they have never had their pictures taken before. I always with out a doubt get better pictures of them when they are in "action" and not paying attention to me. The natural shots are always my favorites but once just once I would love to be able to set up a little photo session with them and have them cooperate. Well here is a peek at what I was able to capture of them this evening. I was trying to get some cute Valentine's day Photos.

I think I'll have to try again another night!

It was a great night for a photo session at the Beach in Solomon's. The sunset over the bridge was amazing. The weather was beautiful, a little chilly but for the most part not too bad. This family was so much fun, they were cracking joke after joke. I was laughing a lot myself, some of the pictures may have been blurry from all of my laughing. But that's one of the main reasons I love what I do, it's a lot of fun!

It's been awhile since I have updated my blog. Things have been a bit crazy around here lately. For the most part that is a good thing. A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of taking pictures of this sweet Mother and Son. The funny part is that I remember babysitting the son when he was my daughter's age. And now he is 20. Talk about feeling old all of a sudden. My goodness how time flies by!

Joe and Erin Just Married~ Leonardtown Maryland

Erin and Joe celebrated their recent marriage with family and friends last night. The bride's parents live right on the beautiful Potomac River and hosted the party at their home. These two couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location or evening to enjoy with friends and family! Joe and Erin got married on October 23 in Zion National Park. Not many friends and family were able to be there so we were all excited to hear the details of their special day. It was a wonderful evening filled with friends and laughter, I am honored to have been able to spend this time with them!

The Purcell Family- Hollywood Maryland

I met the Purcell family at Greenwell State park on Saturday morning. We were greeted by a chilly but beautiful fall morning in Hollywood. It didn't take long before we were warmed up from all the running we were doing. We made the most of our time there. The kids were excited to see the horses and the barns. And of course it was fun to walk down by the water and check out the pier. I think my personal favorite was being able to play with the fall leaves. We don't have many trees in our yard so our kids don't get to make leaf piles and play. It was great to see the kiddos throwing leaves and playing, shhh don't tell but I joined in the fun and played in the leaves as well! It made it twice as fun for me.

The Merchant Family- Leonardtown Maryland

I spent Halloween Morning with the Merchant family. What a pretty morning, and what a beautiful family. I had a blast playing in the woods with the kids. I think they had just as much fun laughing at me laying in the field trying to get just the right angle.

I had a fun day! I am glad the Merchant's let me share the morning with them. They are such a sweet family!

Head Shots

Last week, I met with Nicholas Browne who needed head shots for acting school. This was the first time I had taken photos of this type. I have done Senior pictures for high school graduates, but not college students. So it was a fun learning experience. Despite the heat, it was a fun time walking around downtown Leonardtown.

A friend of mine has recently started making headbands and hats for baby's and young girls. They are super cute, and so are the models I must say.

If I remember correctly these cuties are all within a week from each other. They are so fun and so adorable!

Today I had the most fun lunch break ever! I was at my brother and SIL's house for swim lessons with the big kids. While they were swimming, I snapped some fun shots of Evie. She was a very good sport and actually seemed to enjoy being in front of the camera.

Yesterday we celebrated my Grandmother's 88th birthday. As I was making her birthday gift (homemade note cards) I started thinking about the notes I have always received from her and her handwriting. That of course reminded me of her hands. How strong her hands are and how much she has done with her hands in her lifetime. This lead me to the idea of photographing all four generations of hands; Grammy's, My mom's, mine and Lillian's.
